This voltage remains at up to 30,000 volts when  the car reaches 100 mph.  In addition, many electronic ignition systems  maintain this voltage at speeds of 8,000 RPM. Active dwell control is a very clever\n         \u003cbr\u003e\n         [electronic] way to further increase the output\n         \u003cbr\u003e\n         of the coil. With active dwell control the\n         \u003cbr\u003e\n         system is constantly monitoring the coil\n         \u003cbr\u003e\n         output and actively varying the dwell for\n         \u003cbr\u003e\n         maximum coil saturation. This does wonders\n         \u003cbr\u003e\n         for actual spark output.
